The Community Toolbox, Work Group for Community Health and Development, University of Kansas (website).

This website was developed by a team of the University of Kansas Work Group for Community Health and Development in collaboration with national and international partners. The toolbox provides over 7,000 pages of practical information to support those working to promote community health. It has a focus on specific practical skills, such as conducting a meeting, focus group, survey or participatory evaluation. Relevant how-to resources for CE are included among the 16 core competencies identified to build capacity for community health and development, such as assessing community needs, analyzing problems and goals, and increasing participation. CE practitioners working to improve community health will find a wealth of practical tools, techniques and promising practices for all CE goals, as well as reflective questions to help identify objectives, frame issues and build a CE plan.
